Technical requirements for bevel gears:
1. Forgings shall not have any forging defects.
2. Normalize HB179-217.
3. The surface carburization hardness is HRC58-62, and the core hardness is HRC32-45. The hardness of the transition layer should change slowly until the matrix is low-carbon, with carburization ranging from 1.0 to 1.4mm and carbon content ranging from 0.8% to 1.05%.
4. The metallographic inspection standard should comply with the provisions of the "Metallographic Inspection Standard for Automotive Carburized Gears" (JB1673-75) Low temperature tempering for shot peening treatment.
The working principle of bevel gears is to rely on the teeth of the driving wheel to sequentially push the teeth of the driven wheel, transmitting the motion and power between the two shafts.
Characteristics of bevel gears:
1. Meshing transmission, accurate transmission ratio, stable transmission, and low noise.
2. The applicable power range and speed range are wide.
3. Long lifespan.
4. The cost is not very high and requires equipment processing.
The tightness of the bevel gear should be appropriate. Both too tight and too loose can cause damage to it. If it is too close, it can cause bearing wear, while if it is loose, it can easily cause chain wheel drag. In this regard, attention should be paid. At the same time, during installation, it should be checked to see if it has swayed or tilted, which can affect its normal operation and accelerate its wear. Everyone should carefully check and pay attention to the operation.
